Ran

Today Ran discussed three issues. First, he discussed the impact of the flotilla, both the late flotilla and the flotillas to come, and spoke with an ex-General from the navy. Second, he discussed the education system, and how the ministry of education can penetrate the Haredi community with a program of secular democracy. He discussed strategies on how to teach them democracy, and tried to understand why the extremely religious guard their children against the new reform in the ministry of education. He believes it is because of a couple of reasons, including political reasons, as well as trying to keep children within the religious community. Third, Ran discussed the peace process and the triangle between Hamas, Egypt, and Israel in the context of the decline of Egyptian President Mubarak.
